Preparation for the AKC Canine Good Citizen Test

This class has a minimum prerequisite of completion of a general obedience class.

Skills Learned

• Accepting a friendly stranger
• Sitting politely for petting
• Walking on a loose leash
• Sit, Down, Stay
• Supervised separation

Training results in a controlled dog, one that does not bother neighbors or their dogs and does not balk at grooming procedures or veterinarian's examination. Your dog needs your help to become a Canine Good Citizen! The Canine Good Citizen test consists of 10 parts. It is not a competition and does not require that you and your dog perform with precision!
